Visit the international award winning Tamborine Mountain Distillery, one of only a handful of privately owned distilleries and Australia's smallest operating distillery. Tamborine Mountain Distillery uses a traditional copper pot still to distil a variety of locally grown fruit. The fruit is used in a variety of handmade liqueurs. The distillery's melon liqueur won the prestigious Internationaler Spirituofen Wettbewerg (gold medal) in Germany. International standard schnapps and liqueurs are available to taste and buy. Local markets are held on the second Sunday of each month at the showgrounds on Main Western Road and the last Sunday of each month at the school grounds on Curtis Road. Enjoy a picnic hamper in Songbirds’ grounds or visit one of Mount Tamborine’s many picturesque locations.
